What TableShare is

TableShare is a way for neighbors to post surplus food — garden produce, baked goods, and similar — to give away, trade, or offer for a small suggested fee, and to arrange pickup with each other directly. TableShare does not process payments. Any fee shown is just a number neighbors agree on and settle between themselves, however they choose (cash, Venmo, Cash App, etc.) — TableShare never touches, sees, or holds that money.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to create a TableShare account. TableShare isn't directed at children and isn't set up to verify age beyond asking at signup — if you believe someone underage is using the app, tell us and we'll remove the account.

You're responsible for what you share

TableShare doesn't inspect, test, license, or certify any food listed in the app, and isn't a food-safety authority. When you post a listing, you're representing that it's safe, accurately described, lawfully yours to share, and — where your local law requires it for the kind of food or the way you're sharing it (a suggested fee can push something into "selling" territory under some cottage-food rules) — that you're allowed to share it that way. When you accept something from a neighbor, that's your own judgment call to make, same as anything homemade a neighbor hands you.

Meeting up safely — assumption of risk

Pickups happen in person, between you and another neighbor, entirely off-platform. TableShare doesn't arrange, supervise, insure, or take any responsibility for what happens during a pickup, including the condition of any food exchanged, any injury, loss, or dispute arising from a meetup, or any payment neighbors arrange between themselves. By using TableShare you accept that risk and agree it's on you and the neighbor you're meeting — use the same judgment you'd use meeting anyone from the internet in person, and trust your gut if something feels off.

Account & content rules

• One account per person; keep your login credentials to yourself.
• Post real offerings — no spam, scams, or listings for anything other than actual food you're sharing.
• No listing anything illegal to possess, sell, or give away where you live.
• Be someone your neighbors can trust. Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abuse toward other users isn't tolerated and may get your account removed, with or without warning.
• Don't try to access another user's account, scrape the app, or interfere with how it runs.
• You own what you post, but you're granting other neighbors (and TableShare, to operate the app — including displaying it to neighbors on other devices, see the Privacy Policy's section on syncing) the ability to view and display it within the app.

Account removal & enforcement

You can delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that does and doesn't remove. We can also remove listings, or suspend or terminate an account, for violating these terms, for behavior that puts other neighbors at risk, or at our discretion to keep the app trustworthy — generally with notice where practical, but not always, for things like harassment or safety concerns.

No warranty; limitation of liability

TableShare is provided "as is," with no warranty that it will always be available, secure, error-free, or that any listing or user is accurate or trustworthy — see "You're responsible for what you share" and "Meeting up safely" above. To the fullest extent the law allows, TableShare and whoever operates it aren't liable for any harm, loss, or dispute arising from your use of the app or from meeting another user, beyond what applicable law makes impossible to disclaim.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use TableShare after a change means you accept the updated terms.
